TEAPといえば大学入試に利用する英語外部試験として、英検を運営する団体と上智大学が作った英語の民間試験です。
現在では、上智大学や東京理科大学やG-MARCHのような上位私大が入試方式として設けていたりします。
TEAPには恐ろしいことにスピーキングテストがあります。
これが英検とは異なり、あまり、攻略法や勉強法が世に出回っていないため、今回は、TEAPのスピーキングテストの勉強法とハイスコアを取る裏ワザ的なものを書いていこうと思います。
はじめに
はじめに、少しだけTEAPについての情報と私の自己紹介をしておこうと思います。
『そんなことには興味がないよ』という人は読み飛ばしていただいて構いません。
次の見出しでは勉強法と攻略法が書かれています。
TEAPというのは、大学入試のために作られた英語の民間試験であります。
TEAPおよびTEAP CBTは主に高校生を対象とした大学入試を想定して開発されております。テスト構成は日本における「大学教育レベルにふさわしい英語力」を測るうえで適切な設計となっており、テスト内容はすべて大学教育（留学も含む）で遭遇する場面を考慮して作成されております。難易度の目安としては、英検®準2級〜準1級程度で、日本の高校生の英語を測定するのに最適なレベルとなっております。

このことからわかるようにTEAPとTEAP CBTと呼ばれるものがあります。
レベルとしてはどちらも同じなのですが、TEAPは紙ベースの試験であり、CBTのほうはタブレットを用いた試験だったりします。
今回、解説するスピーキングテストはTEAPのものであるので、CBT向けのものではありません。
私は、TEAPを3回受験しました。
3回の結果は以下の通りです。(上の方が古いものです)

上の表を見ていただければわか区と思いますが、入試で利用したのはスピーキングスコアが89のものとなっています。
このスコアはCEFRという指標で英検と比べると準1級レベルとなっています。

このスコアを利用して、上智大学の理工学部に合格しています。
それでは、本題に入っていこうと思います。
攻略法と勉強法
まずは、敵を知ることから始める必要があるでしょう。
何でもいいのですが、TEAPの実践問題集を購入することをお勧めします。
私が利用したのは、旺文社が出している『TEAP実践問題集』というものです。
今回の記事は、これを利用したと仮定して話を続けていこうと思います。
レイアウトを知る
まずは、試験のレイアウトを知ることです。
これをしっかり知ったうえで、CDを用いて練習を行います。
練習といっても何をしていいのか分からないと思います。
私も受験生の時にはそのような状態に陥っていました。
流ちょうに話せるように練習
まず意識しておきたいのが、詰まらず、流ちょうに話すことです。
これは試験管の印象を良くしたりします。
今すぐ、英語圏で生まれ育った人と同じぐらい流ちょうに、とはいかないでしょう。
しかしながら、練習次第でかなりましになるものです。
とりあえず、CDを用いて何度も練習することが一番でしょう。
論理をはっきりさせる
決して難しいことは言っていません。
私が受験した感覚だと、これがかなり効いてきます。
質問に対する回答としては、『主張』→『理由』→『主張』といった形がかなり良いような気がします。
具体的には、英語の早期学習には賛成か反対かという問いに対しては、以下のような回答が望ましいということです。
I think that 主張.
Because, 理由.
So, I think so.
といった形です。
特に、最後のSo, I think so.というフレーズはかなり便利です。
というのも、理由が少し長くなってしまい、時間が無くなってしまった場合、主張を繰り返すとくどいように思われてしまうので、そこで、このフレーズを使うと同じ意味なのにかなり短縮できます。
私は、このフレーズをかなり頻繁に使っていました。

意外と勉強法と攻略法でスコアが20ぐらい上がってしまうものです。
